Thank you for using Rolling Icon — App Icon Changer (the “App”), provided by Toolkit Solutions (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses and how that information is used.
1) What We Collect
The App is designed to function without collecting personal data (such as your name, email, phone number, or precise location).
- Installed apps list (processed on device only): To let you pick an app and create a custom home-screen icon/shortcut, the App reads the list of apps installed on your device. This information is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.
- Custom images you select: If you choose a photo or icon from your device to use as a shortcut icon, it’s accessed via the system file/media picker. The App does not upload or store your images on our servers.
- Diagnostics (optional): If you opt in to crash/usage analytics through a third-party SDK, we may receive anonymized technical data (e.g., device model, OS version, non-personal event logs) to improve stability. See “Third-Party Services.”
2) How We Use Information
- To display your installed apps so you can create or pin custom icons/shortcuts.
- To apply the custom icon and label you choose using Android’s ShortcutManager/pin shortcut APIs.
- To diagnose issues and improve performance and user experience (if diagnostics are enabled).
3) Permissions & Platform Behavior
The App may request or rely on the following Android capabilities strictly to provide core features:
- Package visibility / list of installed apps: To show your apps for selection when creating shortcuts. Processed on device only.
- Create home-screen shortcuts: Uses Android’s official APIs to create or pin shortcuts with custom icons and labels.
- Photos/Media selection (via system picker): Only the specific image you choose is accessed; no broad storage access is requested.
Note: Permission names and prompts may vary by Android version and manufacturer.
4) Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information. If optional third-party services are integrated (analytics or ads), those providers may process limited non-personal data as described below.
5) Third-Party Services (Optional)
We may integrate the following to support analytics, crash reporting, or advertising:
- Analytics/Crash Reporting (e.g., Firebase): anonymized technical data (crash traces, device/OS versions) to improve reliability.
- Advertising (e.g., Google AdMob): may use device identifiers and coarse targeting to show ads. You can manage ad personalization in your Google settings.
These providers operate under their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers. We strive to configure them with minimal collection consistent with the App’s functionality.
6) Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
7) Data Retention
We do not maintain user profiles or store personal content on our servers. Any diagnostic data (if enabled) is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for troubleshooting and improvement.
8) Security
We employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9) International Transfers
If third-party services process data outside your country, protections appropriate to the transfer (e.g., contractual safeguards) are applied by those providers per their policies.
10) Your Choices
- Permissions: You can grant or revoke app permissions at any time in your device settings; some features may require certain permissions to function.
- Ads & Analytics: Where applicable, opt out of ad personalization in your Google account/device settings. You may also disable analytics/crash sharing inside the App (if such a toggle is provided).
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version in the App and/or on our website and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be indicated within the App or via other appropriate notices.
